Make These Beautiful Rug Designs Your Own

We love the hunt for just the right designer area rug as much as the next person. In fact, we search the world over for the most beautiful, handmade rugs all year round so we can match them with the right owners.

But we know that when you get to have a hand in designing an element of your home decor, it takes on special meaning. You didn’t just buy it off the shelf — you were a part of its creation. At our rug store in Scottsdale or from the custom design center on our website, you can create rug designs of your own from scratch or begin with a template. There is, however, a faster way: Special order area rugs.

It’s simple to put together your special order rug in the colors you want:

  • View the gallery of special order rugs online or come into our store to see many of them in person.
  • Pick from one of the many special order designs we have available.
  • Choose the colors you want from our extensive color selection. Most rugs only require you to choose 3 or less colors.
  • Place your order with Alyshaan Fine Rugs.
  • If you chose colors that the design you like is usually made with, your order may be filled extremely quickly. Otherwise, rug weavers will set to work using the colors you want. They can make these rugs faster than most custom rugs because they work from a template.
  • Once the rug is done, you can pick it up in Scottsdale or we can ship it straight to you.

There is quite a variety of designs available in traditional, contemporary, and transitional styles. This contemporary one uses a simple design with only three colors (or 3 shades of one color — beige). It’s a 100-knot Indo-Nepalese weave with fine quality wool and bamboo silk, making it both durable and stylish.

More complex contemporary designs are available, too. Check out this floral pattern:

These rugs and many of the special order rugs are available in these sizes: 3 x 6, 4 x 6, 5 x 8, 6 x 9, 8 x 10, and 9 x 12. Some are also available as round area rugs.

It might surprise you that traditional designs are available for special orders as well. Most couldn’t guess that the runner below was based on a template with beige and medium gold color choices.

Transitional designs are also available, which are essentially a mix of contemporary and traditional styles. The one below is one of the simpler designs that makes choosing colors simple for you.

Even though these rugs are made based on templates, they are still hand-knotted by artisan weavers and put together with care. Come by our rug store in Scottsdale or call us to learn more about special order rugs.
